Keith Thomas Campbell

28 April 1947 – 13 August 2026

 After a life richly lived, it is with full hearts that we announce the departure of Keith Thomas Campbell on August 13, 2026, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay, ON.

Devoted husband to Terry Anne (née Malouin) and loving father to Alex Maeve Campbell. Son of the late Thomas Campbell and Jean (née Marwick); dear brother of Jim (Chris) Campbell, Jacelyn Campbell (predeceased), George (Donna) Campbell, and Donald Campbell. Keith will be missed by his many friends and community members.

Born in Hamilton, ON, in 1947, Keith was a master ceramicist who graduated from Sheridan College in 1970. He exhibited his work in over 300 exhibitions, nationally and internationally. He received 60 awards/honours including being inducted into the North Bay Kiwanis DIA Walk of Fame, the Niagara Falls Arts & Culture Wall of Fame, the John & Barbara Mather Award for Lifetime Achievement from Craft Ontario, and he was a two-time finalist for the Premier’s Award for Excellence. Keith was presented with Canada’s 125th Commemorative Anniversary Medal, as well as the title “Artist in Residence Emeritus” from Canadore College. Keith was a founding member of Ceramic Masters Canada, Fusion: Clay and Glass Association of Ontario, the White Water Gallery, the WKP Kennedy Gallery, and the North Bay Potters Guild. His works are included in numerous collections including the Archives of Ontario, the Canadian History Museum, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Nickel Arts Museum, the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Burlington Art Gallery, and the North Bay Discovery Museum. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 2 pm at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, 480 McIntyre Street West.
