KENNEDY, Melissa
Passed away at her home on Tuesday September 29, 2026, at the age of 43 years.
Melissa was the beloved wife of Paul Kennedy, the loving daughter to Bruce Rich and Kathleen (nee Bruneau) Rich, sister to Jeremy Rich, daughter in-law to Margaret Kennedy, niece to many aunts and uncles, and cousin to many more. She was the loving mother to her fur babies Bentley, Finnigan, Blue, Parker, Penny, and Chai.
Melissa spent many years as a member of the North Bay Regional Health Centre community, was an advocate for mental and physical health, and an avid Purple Warrior for those suffering with an autoimmune disease. Not content with just helping people, she also loved animals and was a volunteer foster mom for the North Bay & District Humane Society and helped find homes for numerus four-legged friends.
As per Melissa’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday October 7, 2026, between the hours of 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm. A celebration of life will be held at 7 pm. If desired, donations in Melissa’s memory can be made to the North Bay & District Humane Society or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
