For the third year in a row, Country 90.5 FM morning host Kevin Oschefski’s name appears on an Ontario Association of Broadcasters’ (OAB) Community Service Award.

Kevin O’s Walk for the Cure, his inaugural 129 km fundraising trek from the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury to Downtown North Bay, was honoured Tuesday at the OAB awards gala in Toronto.

“What a proud moment to be able to accept this award on behalf of all those who were a part of our journey,” he says. “Those who donated, those who helped with the logistics and all those who honked their horns and sent messages of support.”

Last year, Oschefski and Mike Monaghan, 106.3 Jet FM morning host, won the award for their Big Camp Adventure as part of the YMCA Fill the Bus fundraising campaign.

The Kev’s Kids Radio Marathon, raising funds for Rotary for Kids, won in 2023.
