Lafreniere, Reg (Rejean)
It is with profound sadness and loving hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Reg (Rejean) Lafreniere on August 28, 2026, at the age of 84, following a short battle with cancer.
Reg will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Carolyn, who was by his side throughout his journey, and by their children, Monique (Vital), Tonia (Glenn), and Shannon (Joy). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Mitchell (Jen) and Tatiana, whose lives he cherished dearly. Sadly missed by the Aultman family, his dearest friends, who meant so much to Reg and his family over the years.
Reg was a man of many talents, passions, and stories. He worked for more than 30 years at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital, where he touched the lives of many. His greatest joys were hunting, fishing, golf, and curling. He was happiest out on a lake with a fishing rod in hand, sitting in a deer stand, or sharing stories of his many adventures with family and friends.
Above all, Reg will be remembered for his generous heart, his warm sense of humour, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He created countless treasured memories and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His absence will be deeply felt, but his love and memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or a charity of your choice.
Rest peacefully, Reg. You were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and your memory will live on in all of us.
Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
