Lakers competing at the Paralympics

At the Paralympics in Italy, Nipissing Lakers’ commit Maddie Mullin and guide Brooke Ailey finished sixth in the Women’s 10km Interval Start Classic Vision Impaired cross-country event.

Ailey is a fourth year Nipissing student and member of Lakers Nordic.

They will also compete in the 20k Free Interval Start event on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Mullin and Ailey finished third in their semifinal of the Sprint Classic event, and did not advance.

Back home in Canada, this is race week for Lakers Nordic.

The team is competing at 2026 Nordiq Canada Canadian Ski Championships in Mont-Ste-Anne, QC.
