We announce with sorrow, the passing of Julie in her 99th year at Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa with family members at her side on January 19, 2026.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years, Amedée. She is survived by her children: Marg Parker (Ron) of Hanover, Colette Laperrière of North Bay, Suzanne Brock (Gordon) of New Liskeard, Paul Laperrière (Cynthia) of North Bay, and Roland Laperrière of Gatineau, Quebec. A son, Victor (Murielle-surviving), predeceased her in 2007. She is also survived by siblings Lucille Voyer (Conrad-deceased) of North Bay and Conrad Rancourt (Raymonde-deceased) of Corbeil and sister-in-law Jeannine Guillemette (Roger-deceased) of Peterborough. She will be lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Also predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Adrien (Delicia), Eleonore Gauthier (Gérard), Rosalie Contant (Narcisse), Georgina Dion (Roland), Françoise Ménard (Noël), Gilberte Laperrière (Henri), Laurette Dagenais (Raymond), Yvonne LaVictoire (Richard), and Roger (Jeannine surviving)
The family gives a warm, heartfelt thank- you to the professional and caring staff at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa for the care they gave Julie during her three-year stay – and in particular in that last week of her life.
There will be a celebration of life involving only immediate family members. The location and date are yet to be determined.
