Leona Theodora Montag

Born November 4, 1934 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan

Called home to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 91 on February 18, 2026 at Nipissing Manor. Beloved wife of Frank Montag (deceased 2008) and loving mother to Mike (Susan) Montag of Callander, Joanne (Terry) Parolin of North Bay.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin (Kristin), Cory (Monica) and Brandon (Ana) Montag as well as Jayne, Jon and Andrea (Mike Roth) Parolin. Her great grandchildren Yasmina, Riley, Gavin, Leila, Thea and Cowen Montag, Olivia and Gwendolyn Montag and Amelia Kosy and Marcus Montag, Edmund and Iris Roth.

Leona was a hardworking, fiercely determined woman with a great sense of humor. She worked for K-Mart in Waterloo until the family moved to North Bay in 1976. She continued to work for K-Mart and then Zellers here util her retirement. Her spare time was spent decorating wedding cakes and enjoying her grandchildren and family. She had many friends. Her final years were spent at Nipissing Manor. The staff went far beyond what was required every day. Through their exceptional care, patience and kindness, they provided her with a friendly, loving and happy home for her last years. Thank you, we are grateful.
