Les Compagnons receives $50,000 in funding from the province

50th anniversary celebrations for the Franco-Ontarian Flag locally are getting a funding boost from the province.
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced $50,000 for Les Compagnons des francs loisirs.
Along with celebrating the flag’s golden anniversary, Arnaud Claude, managing director of Les Compagnons says it will also promote cultural enrichment and the economic vitality of Nipissing’s Francophone community.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase our heritage, creativity, and the dynamism of our local businesses,” he says.
Fedeli says the government understands the important role played by Francophone communities in Ontario.
““This funding for the projects of Les Compagnons des francs loisirs will support the cultural and economic vitality of the Francophonie, which will continue to help grow our community and local economy for years to come,” he says.
The money comes from the Francophone Community Grants Program (FCGP).
