LMG reports a strong rebound with May job postings
The Labour Market Group (LMG) is calling the 577 job postings in May a ‘strong late-spring rebound’.
In its latest report, LMG says that’s up just over 13% month-over-month and sits just below (1.8%) the four-year May average.
Year-over-year, job postings increased by just over 2%.
Along with the rise in postings was what it calls a healthy expansion in employer participation.
255 unique employers were active in the market, nearly 30 more than April.
The North Bay Regional Health Centre had the most postings that month.
Nipissing University, Ontario Northland, the French Catholic school board and the West Nipissing General Hospital round out the top five.
Health Care and Social Assistance was the top hiring industry.
Retail Trade was a distant second, followed by Educational Services.
