$115,000 to Local Community Organizations

The Ontario government is investing $115,000 in four local children’s and social services facilities through the Partner Facility Renewal Program to complete necessary renovations and repairs. The funding is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by connecting people to the services they need, where they need it.

“Local agencies are at the core of every strong community and our government is proud to invest in several within our community,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “By funding these repairs and upgrades, we are helping to ensure that vulnerable Ontarians can access high-quality services and supports in safe and accessible spaces.”

“Community Living Mattawa is very pleased to be receiving this investment. It will allow us to modernize our building and make important upgrades to our changeroom and bathroom. These improvements will make our facility more accessible, better equipped for our employees, and more inclusive for all members of the community. Community Living Mattawa thanks the Provincial government for their continued support toward modernizing the facilities within our agency.” - David Spencer, Executive Director, Community Living Mattawa

Local funding includes:

·       $104,000 to Community Living Mattawa to renovate their changeroom for accessibility.

·       $6,800 to Children's Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound to repair their accessible ramp.

·       $2,900 to Children's Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound to repair their fire alarm panel

·       $1,300 to Mattawa Women's Resource Centre to replace their window capping for five windows.

Funding through the Partner Facility Renewal program is provided to agencies, such as shelters for women and children, homes that provide daily support for people with developmental disabilities, facilities for survivors of human trafficking, and facilities for children and youth with special needs.
