LORTIE, Paulette Marie Lydia
"In Loving Memory” Paulette Lortie peacefully passed away at Cassellholme in North Bay, ON on Wednesday May 27, 2026, at the age of 81.
She was a daughter, sister, sister-in-law, godmother and aunt. Paulette was born August 3, 1944, in Timmins, Ontario and was the youngest of 5 girls. She is predeceased by her mother Emma Lortie (nee Roy), her father Real Lortie who passed away before Paulette was born, her eldest sister Betty (Berthe) Bourget (nee Lortie), and 2nd born sister Darquise Wallesch (nee Lortie). She will be lovingly remembered by her 3rd born sister Rosaline (Rose) Lortie and 4th born sister Lisette Charbonneau (nee Lortie), nieces/nephews Lizette Arendt (nee Bourget) (Peter), Paul Charbonneau (Becky), Linda Auclair (nee Wallesch), John Wallesch, Michael Wallesch (deceased), and kin.
Paulette was a Certified Registered Nursing Assistant with a very caring and compassionate nature. She resided in Timmins, Toronto, Vancouver, Merritt and lastly in North Bay. She loved helping seniors, children, and most apparent was her love for dogs. Her love of animals was apparent with the dogs that were her pets and all the dogs she met on her daily walks. While in Vancouver, she lived near the ocean where she would walk and cycle around the Stanley Park seawall. She revelled in the beauty, the scent of fresh air, and the sounds of nature.
A few years ago Rose and Paulette relocated from Merritt BC to North Bay to join their sister Lisette, for comfort and support.
Burial of ashes will be on Wednesday June 17, 2026, at 9:30 am at the Timmins Cemetery.
Thank you, “Pony”, for being you, loving us through the years. You were the live baby doll to your 4 sisters, and you taught us what it takes to be a mother. You will be missed; you will not be forgotten.
