Luc Seamont

Luc Seamont

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luc Seamont on July 26th, 2026, at the young age of 61. He left us peacefully, surrounded by the comfort of his loved ones.

Luc was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, coach, and friend whose kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his beloved mother, Lise, and is now reunited with his late father, Francis. His memory will be cherished by his children, Melissa (Chris) and Allie (Matt), the mother of his children, Linda, and his adored grandchildren, Bennett and Georgia. Luc also leaves behind his brother, Pat (Maryse), God-child Vanessa, and his partner Sherri, as well as a large circle of extended family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Luc poured his heart into his community, dedicating many years to the North Bay and District Girls Hockey Association where he touched the lives of countless young players, teaching them the value of teamwork, discipline, and hard work. When he wasn't at the rink, he was an avid golfer who spent his weekends and weeknights walking the fairways, valuing the game most for the lifelong friendships and quiet conversations shared between shots. His patience, guidance, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire North Bay community, but his legacy lives on in every life he shaped on the ice and on the green.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Martyn Funeral Home (464 Wyld St, North Bay) on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, with visitation hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Luc’s memory may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Canada and would be greatly appreciated by the family.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered support during this difficult time. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to the exceptional doctors, nurses, and staff of D3 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care, kindness, and dedication during Luc’s final days.

Although Luc is no longer with us, his love, wisdom, the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. We love you, Papa Luc!
