Luckett, Frances "Isobel"
With heavy hearts, the Luckett family announces the peaceful passing of Frances “Isobel” Luckett, age 98, on Saturday January 27th, 2024. With family by her bedside, Isobel passed away surrounded by endless love and compassion.
Born in Toronto in 1925 to Frances and Arthur Simpson, Isobel found her husband, Gerry, shortly after high school and spent the next 71 years raising their 5 children and travelling the world. When she wasn’t square dancing or being active in Rotary, you could find Isobel dominating a bridge game or crafting a culinary masterpiece from memory. She will be fondly remembered for her perpetual smile, contagious laughter and unconditional love for her family.
Isobel was predeceased by her husband Gerry, by her son, Don Luckett (Chris), by her daughter, Cheryl Jackson (Tom), her son-in-law Tom Jackson her great grandson, Skylar Luckett and her brother Bill (Cecil).
Isobel was survived by her brother Bob (Pat) her sons David (Glenda), Doug (Deb), Brian (Karen), grandchildren Christopher (Becky), Michael (Robyn), Darryl (Tiffany), Christal Lee (Dan), Wesley, Eric (Kristi), Jessica (Jamie), Steve, Nitacia (Serge), Aaron, Jeffrey (Lisa) and Trevor, great grandchildren Layla, Hazel, Brittany, Amber, Eli, Lincoln, Lenoxx, Novah, Rylee, Yannick, Adrian and Scarlet.
Isobel’s family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the amazing and compassionate staff at Cassellholme.
Donations to St. Andrew’s United Church or the North Bay Regional Hospital would be greatly appreciated in honor of Isobel.
There will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
