MADD Nipissing Officer of the Year honours for three OPP constables
Three Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have been recognized for their dedication to impaired driving enforcement and public safety in the North Bay region.
The Nipissing chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) held it’s 2025 MADD Officer of the Year Awards earlier this week.
Among the OPP recipients:

- Provincial Constable Sadie Wegner of the North Bay Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team was recognized for her outstanding commitment and proactive enforcement efforts.
- Provincial Constable Shaelyn Poulin of the North Bay OPP was also named a 2025 recipient, acknowledged for her ongoing dedication to reducing impaired-related collisions in the community.
- Provincial Constable Nicholas Martineau was also recognized but was unable to attend the ceremony.
Officials say Monday’s event at the Kinsmen Trail memorial picnic table, honoured officers who demonstrated outstanding ability in reducing alcohol-related collisions in their communities.
