Main Street West – Bike Lane Extension and Pedestrian Signal Removal

Main Street West – Bike Lane Extension and Pedestrian Signal Removal

The City of North Bay is extending the bike lane on Main Street West to the Nipissing Street intersection. As part of this work, the pedestrian traffic signal between Timmins Street and Nipissing Street will soon be removed and relocated to another location within the city.

The midblock crossing has been used by pedestrians and cyclists to access the multi-use path. Once the signal is removed, pedestrians and cyclists should use the All-Way Stop at Nipissing Street to cross.

This change is being made to improve safety in the area. Residents and road users are asked to follow all posted signs and use caution while work is underway.
