Man Charged with Break & Enter

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a 30-year-old male in relation to a break and enter that occurred on July 10, 2024.

On July 10, 2024, the accused was picked up by a cab and driven from Cassells Street to Gibson Street. Upon arrival, the accused paid the victim (the cab driver) only a portion of the required fare, claiming he had to go inside a business to retrieve the rest. After exiting the cab, the accused made no attempt to return and pay the remainder of the fare.

Instead, after exiting the cab, the accused entered a business, walking through the business to an exterior area where a trailer was located. The accused entered that trailer – which belonged to a second victim – and, despite requests to leave the location, refused to leave. While on the property, the accused also took several items of property that did not belong to him.

Members of the North Bay Police Service attended the area and located the accused inside the trailer at which point he was arrested and charged.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.

The accused in this incident is Nathan Omer CARRIERE, male, age 30, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • One count of Transportation Fraud
  • One count of Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
