Marking International Overdose Awareness Day locally

Officials are gathering locally in honour of International Overdose Awareness Day.

They’re remembering those who have died or been injured by drug use, while supporting family, friends, and others who have been affected by the impact of overdose.

An event is being held from 4-7 pm Wednesday (Aug. 27) at Leger Square, just outside of city hall.

There will be guest speakers with lived experience, community booths, traditional drumming, Naloxone training and more.
