Mattawa Hospital Receives Support

Additional $260,000 for Mattawa Hospital

Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced an increase of $259,311 in Base Funding for the Mattawa General Hospital. This is a permanent increase in funding to relieve the hospital’s financial pressures.

“Even with our government’s record investments in healthcare, we’ve heard the financial concerns raised by the Mattawa General Hospital and are responding with a $260,000 annual investment to ensure the hospital has the tools needed to continue providing high-quality care, now and in the future,” said MPP Vic Fedeli.

“We are pleased with the recent announcement which will greatly support our unprecedented deficit position. We look forward to working with the Ministry and MPP Fedeli to ensure equitable health care in Nipissing District,” says Tanya Bélanger, Mattawa General Hospital President and CEO.
