McLeod, William ‘Reggie”

It is with deep sadness that the family of William “Reggie” McLeod announce his passing on April 9, 2025 at the age of 89.
Reg was predeceased by his parents Ken and Beatrice McLeod of North Bay, his brothers Clarence (Mac) and his wife Velma, Garry and his wife Betty, and his sister Ruth Foisy and her husband Conrad.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Reg was born in North Bay but moved to Deep River in 1954 to pursue a life-long career at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited in Chalk River.
He was a well-known member of the Deep River community, an honorary life-time member of the Deep River Curling Club and an associate member of the Deep River Legion.
Uncle Reg’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr Ceponis, Chris Carroll and his staff, Carrie Milks and the neighbours and friends who helped us through this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Deep River Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Deep River Community Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been Reg’s 90th birthday, on Friday September 5, 2025 from 1 – 4 pm at the Deep River Curling Club.
