MILLER, Madonna Patricia

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday May 15, 2026, at the age of 88 years.

She wanted to make it to her birthday, and she did. Madonna was the beloved wife of the late Percy Miller (63 years) and the loving mother to Cheryl St. Martin, Cindy Miller, Tammy Lamb (Ray), the late Dean Miller, the late Randy Miller, and the late Debbie Miller. She was the cherished grandmother to Nolan (Diane), Justin (Victoria), Joel, Scott, Darren, and great-grandmother to Alexis, Emma, Rowan, Leo, and Hailee. Madonna will be lovingly remembered by her sister Marlene Murphy and the Murphys North and South (you know who you are). Madonna is predeceased by her brother Ronald Murphy (Jeannette), as well as her parents Lawrence Murphy and Thelma (nee Anderson) Murphy.

Mom was a hard-working woman, Air Force wife, raising six kids and living in Germany and all across Canada. She was a T.O.P.S. member and member of the Catholic Women’s Ministries. Corpus Christi was where she spent her free time volunteering for coffee hour and also events at Casselholme for the Aged. She worked at the Empire Hotel and the Voyageur Hotel to help support the family.

Mom loved to knit and knit mittens for us and baby outfits and blankets for newborns. Her main love was her flowers, and her gardens were a big feature in the neighbourhood. She worked on her gardens until a few years ago, then she supervised.

 As per Madonna’s wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be a celebration of life on August 22, 2026. There will also be a celebration of life for Deborah Miller on that day.
