Mission accomplished Kevin O’s One More Walk Home

Update: Kevin O’s One More Walk Home has raised closed to $31,000.
Over $23,000 and counting.
That’s how much had been raised online for Kevin Oschefski’s One More Walk Home by the time he wrapped up his four-day trek from Sudbury early Saturday afternoon.
He walked and ran 129 km from the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury to Downtown North Bay in support of the CIBC Run for the Cure and all those battling breast cancer.
“It was a tough one,” he says. “Thanks to everyone who pitched in, honked horns and gave donations.”
Donations continue to come in but Oschefski says it’s about more than the money.
“We always focus on the money but I think the last four days have been about bringing the community together and having a different conversation about cancer, about one of hope,” he says. “I think that’s better than anything else.”
The CIBC Run for the Cure takes place on Sunday.
