Mixed results with job postings in July

The Labour Market Group reports 465 job postings were recorded in Nipissing District in July.

While that’s slightly higher month-over-month it’s ‘significantly’ lower year-over-year, by over 17%.

The number of employers posting jobs was up, compared to June, by nearly 5%.

The top five include:

North Bay Regional Health Centre
Voyageur Aviation Corp
Ontario Northland
Nipissing University
Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord

Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry followed by Retail Trade.

Transportation & Warehousing was third.
