Moore, Glenna (née Bilton, formerly Rouillard)

Glenna Moore passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 21, 2025 at the age of 80.
Glenna was the beloved wife of Keith Moore for over 20 years and the much-loved daughter of the late Waudby and Ruby Bilton of Iron Bridge. She will be remembered with deep love, laughter, and a twinkle in her eye by her children, extended family, and her nine grandchildren.
Above all else, Glenna was an extraordinary mother. As a single mom, she raised three wonderful children—Peter (Lisa) Rouillard, Kyle (Carolyn) Rouillard, and Donna (David) Cotter—with boundless love, fierce determination, and a good sense of humour even when things were at their lowest point. Her children and grandchildren—Erynn & Carter Rouillard; Evan & Eric Rouillard; Kate & Sira Cotter—were her proudest achievements and the absolute joys of her life. She also held close her stepson Brian (Wengang) Moore and grandchildren Linzhen (Lily), Feilan Zhou-Moore and Anchan Zhou-Moore.
Glenna had a sharp wit and a vibrant sense of humour that could light up any room. She loved her family with a passion and never missed an opportunity to tell a funny story, crack a joke, or laugh at life’s little quirks. She enjoyed sewing, travelling, going to music festivals, listening to music, and driving all over Ontario to visit the people she loved. For many years, she volunteered with the North Bay Figure Skating Club. She also took great pride in her career as a 911 dispatcher in North Bay, where her quick thinking and calm voice made a real difference.
Glenna was always happy, and even after losing her leg to diabetes, she never let it get her down. On her worst days, if you asked how she was doing, she would smile and say she was “great.” Even as her light was fading, her eyes sparkled every time a friend or family member walked in the room.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate nurses and doctors in the Critical Care Unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their care and kindness.
As Glenna wished, her life will be honoured not with a solemn service but with a family celebration at a later date — a true party filled with stories, laughter, and love, just the way she would want it.
Those wishing to honour Glenna are invited to make a donation in her name to Diabetes Canada, the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Basic Cremation Services.
