More Drugs-Weapons Seized

The North Bay Police Service arrested four individuals on drug trafficking and weapons charges and seized over $23,000-worth of illegal drugs.
As part of an investigation, on February 12, 2024, members of the North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team and Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in an apartment building on Lakeshore Drive, North Bay. Accused JOHNSON was located and arrested outside the building. Accused ELSE, SEABORN and SWAIN were located and arrested inside the residence.
The accused in this incident are:
Justine ELSE, female, age 37, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Eight counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Produce a Schedule I Substance
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Four counts of Failure to comply with release order
Dylan JOHNSON, male, age 37, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Eight counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Produce a Schedule I Substance
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Three counts of Failure to comply with release order
Andrew SEABORN, male, age 37, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Eight counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Produce a Schedule I Substance
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Maranda SWAIN, female, age 29, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Eight counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Produce a Schedule I Substance
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Searches by police in this incident resulted in the seizure of:
- An airsoft rifle
- A BB handgun
- A recurve bow
- An improvised conducted energy device (commonly known as a “taser”)
- Approximately 18 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 157 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
- Approximately 16 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 66 8 milligram Dilaudid (hydromorphone) pills
- Approximately 170 naloxone pills
- Approximately $600 in Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $23,700.
The accused in this incident were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
