More Weapons-Drugs off the Street
The North Bay Police Service arrested a 41-year-old man for weapon and drug trafficking offences and seized approximately $12,000-worth of illegal drugs.
On December 19, 2024, the accused was located outside of a convenience store on O’Brien Street, North Bay. The accused was wanted by police on an outstanding warrant and was arrested. Police conducted a search incident to arrest of the accused and located illegal drugs and a weapon.
The accused in this incident is Stephen CORNISH, male, age 41, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 75 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 5 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 2 grams of suspected heroin
- Two knives
- A can of bear mace
- Drug trafficking equipment
- A quantity of Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $12,000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
