Nancy Aultman (née Mauro)

1951–2026

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Nancy Aultman (née Mauro) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Health Sciences North, surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy was the devoted and loving wife of 55 years to her beloved husband, Reginald. She was a proud and caring mother to Laurie (Jason), Chris (Tracy), and Heather (Stan). Her greatest joy was being Grandma Nancy to Vanessa, Shaelyn, Kadin, Hailey, Cassandra, Nathan, Rebecca, Kourtney, Jeffrey, Amanda, Brooke, and Jayden, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Nancy was predeceased by her only sibling, Gene Mauro; her sister-in-law, Noella; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy; brother-in-law Steve. She remained a proud and loving aunt to her dear nieces and nephews, Tracy, Brandy, and Eugene. Nancy also lovingly embraced Reg’s large family as her own, sharing close bonds with his many brothers and sisters and being a much-loved aunt to their many children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to Nancy, and she made each person feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Ran Don Crane & Leasing would not be what it is without her 35 exemplary years of service. With her quick whit and sharp pencil she continuously did the work of three people.  Nancy helped countless employees through the years personally with her many bookkeeping skills.  She will forever be remembered and missed by her Ran Don family.  She found great joy in fishing and especially treasured time spent on Lake Temagami. A creative person and impressive artist, seamstress and quilter, she took great pride in her craft and lovingly shared her creations with family and friends. Nancy had a wonderful sense of humour and treasured lively games of crokinole with those she loved, where she won every game.

She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her warmth and generosity, and the laughter and light she brought into every room.

Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road, on Thursday March 5th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 6th at St Peter the Apostle church at 10:30 a.m.

Donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, Arthritis Society, or Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
