The North Bay Regional Health Centre says it too has been impacted by global IT outages.

In a social media post Friday morning, the hospital said its systems are coming back online and it’s anticipated they will be at full operations by noon.

Officials say emergency services and patient care are being maintained.

They add while patients could experience some delays, no appointments or procedures have been cancelled.

Airports, banks, media companies, and shipping ports are all reporting major problems with their operations Friday due to problems with Microsoft cloud services.

The CEO of cyber-security firm CrowdStrike says it is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts.

"This is not a security incident or cyberattack," reads a statement from George Kurtz on X (formerly Twitter).  "The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed."

He adds Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted.
