New bench boss in men’s hoops at Canadore
Canadore College has appointed Bill Crowdis as head coach of the Panthers Men’s Varsity Basketball team.
Officials say he brings extensive coaching experience at the collegiate level, with a strong track record of success across the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).
He previously served as head coach at Seneca College from 2012 to 2015, where he led teams to provincial and national rankings, secured conference titles, and guided the program to an OCAA Final Four appearance in 2013.

Crowdis was also named OCAA Coach of Year while the bench boss at Fleming College, where he also became the college’s all-time leader in wins.
“Joining Canadore College and the Panthers is an exciting opportunity,” says Crowdis. “I’m looking forward to building a competitive, high-character team that reflects the pride of the College and the North Bay community. My focus will be on developing student-athletes both on the court and in the classroom, and creating a culture that players are proud to be part of.”
The Panthers finished 0-18 last season.
Their last win was in January 2025.
