New city police constable being sworn-in Wednesday

The North Bay Police Service is welcoming a new officer to its ranks.

A swearing-in ceremony is being held Wednesday for Constable Joshua Brunet, who joined the police service this month.

Officials say he began his career in 2023 as a part-time Special Constable.

He previously worked with the Ontario Provincial Police as a prisoner guard, beginning in 2022.

Police Chief Daryl Longworth and Acting Deputy Chief Jeff Warner are presiding over the swearing-in ceremony.
