NICHOLAS, Sandra May

Passed away at her home on Saturday May 23, 2026, at the age of 69 years.

Sandra was the beloved wife of Eddie Nicholas, and the loving mother to Amanda Nicholas (Richard), Bryan Nicholas (Kimberley), and Melissa Layton (Paul). She was the cherished grandmother to Hailey, Ethan, Rylee, Jordan, Nathan, Benson, and Carson. She will be lovingly remembered by sisters Donna Kelly, Shirley Newhook, and Muriel Palma.

Sandra is pre-deceased by her siblings Ruth Norman, John Newhook, Judy White, and Rodney Newhook as well as her parents Ellis Newhook and Verna (nee Knight) Newhook. Sandra enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, she especially loved baking home-made bread and baked goods.

Her motto while cooking in the kitchen was "Everything is better with butter" The freezer was always stocked with fresh baked goods for the grandkids. Sandra loved hosting family gatherings and was happy if everyone was well fed! Sandra had a big passion for gardening fresh vegetables and vibrant flowers to attract the birds, especially the chick a dees and hummingbirds.

Sandra loved her family deeply with a kind open heart. The love she gave to our family is such a precious gift that will be cherished profoundly. Sandra will be deeply missed but cherished in our hearts forever. We love you.

As per Sandra’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will occur at a later date.
