Nipissing University gearing up to welcome mini-Lakers
Youth Summer Camps
Nipissing University Extended Learning and Lakers Athletics is pleased to announce that registration is now open for 2026 Youth Summer Camps.
Since the summer of 2022, these camps have offered hands-on engaging activities for youth that spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and form friendships.
“Each year we look forward to welcoming young campers to campus and filling their summer with adventure, learning, friendship, and new experiences,” shared Taylor Wetzel, Extended Learning Coordinator at Nipissing University. “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to learn and play alongside them and give them a summer to remember.”
Camp Ready, Set, Go is returning this year for young learners ages four to six.Campers will continue to develop key social and emotional skills, such as working with others, staying on task, and regulating their feelings and behavior.
For campers aged six to 12, Extended Learning offers a variety of camps to appeal to a range of interests. This year’s lineup includes Sports Spectacular, Inner Heros: Wellness Week, Studio Stars, Time Travellers Week, and Mini Lakers Mashup.
Lakers Athletics will also be offering summer camps for a variety of ages including:
- Boys Performance Volleyball Camp (Ages 15+)
- Girls Peak Performance Volleyball Camp (Ages 13 to 18)
- Lakers Women’s Hockey High Performance Prospect Camp (Ages 14 to 18)
- Lakers Youth Girls Goalie Camp (Ages 7 to 17)
- Hockey Youth All Girls Skills Camp Weeks 1 and 2 (Ages U13, 15, and 18)
- All Skills Volleyball Camp (Ages 9 to 15).
