Nipissing University professor Anna Przednowek receives the Violence Against Women coordination dedication award for exceptional service

Nipissing University is proud to celebrate Anna Przednowek, Assistant Professor of Social Work, who has been honoured with the Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee (VAWCC) Dedication Award. This prestigious recognition, presented during Women Abuse Prevention Month, highlighted Przednowek’s exceptional commitment as a practitioner, researcher and educator in this field.

The VAWCC is a community-based organization dedicated to enhancing the safety and well-being of women and children affected by intimate partner violence. By fostering inter-agency cooperation among social and justice systems, the VAWCC aims to provide seamless and responsive support to those impacted by such violence.

Dr. Kevin Wamsley, President and Vice-Chancellor of Nipissing University, praised Przednowek’s achievement, stating, “Anna’s work exemplifies the values of Nipissing University: compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to social justice.
