Nipissing University welcomes visitors to Spring Open House on March 8
Nipissing University invites future students and their families to its Open House on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This semi-annual event offers an unparalleled chance to explore the University’s academic programs, facilities, and vibrant campus life.
“This event is a fundamental moment for many students as they make important decisions about their future,” said Dr. Kevin Wamsley, President and Vice-Chancellor. “Nipissing University is proud to foster a welcoming environment where students thrive both academically and personally. The Spring Open House is the ideal way to experience what makes being a Laker so unique.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty members, current students and representatives from various departments. Various drop-in programs offered allow prospective students to explore learning spaces on campus and discover student services, such as Residence Life, Indigenous Initiatives and Financial Aid. Guided campus tours will highlight Nipissing’s scenic, forested setting, cutting-edge labs and student-focused amenities.
Sarah Marinelli, Associate Registrar, Recruitment, emphasizes the event’s value in providing a genuine glimpse into university life. “We encourage prospective students and their supporters to explore campus, ask questions, and connect with professors and staff. It’s a great opportunity to learn how Nipissing supports students at every step of their educational journey and beyond.”
Visitors will also hear from current students and alumni, offering first-hand perspectives on the Nipissing experience. The day’s agenda includes engaging drop-in presentations, interactive activities, and personalized conversations designed to help future students picture themselves as part of the close-knit Nipissing community.
