Noella Mauro passed away peacefully at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished wife to the late Gene, and a nurturing mother to Tracy (Pete), Brandy (Zoltan), and Eugene (Jessica). Noella took great pride in her role as grandmother to Michael, Matthew, Mac, and Beckham.
Noella was a caring sister to Maria (deceased), Mina (Peter), and Toni (Bob), and a supportive sister-in-law to Nancy (Reg). She was also a beloved aunt who touched the lives of many nieces and nephews.
An avid outdoors enthusiast, Noella found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was passionate about camping and fishing, spending her summers creating lasting memories on the serene shores of Lake Temagami. Her love for nature extended to her garden, where she showcased her green thumb, cultivating a vibrant assortment of vegetables she often shared with friends, family and neighbors. Tending to her garden was more than a hobby; it was a source of peace and fulfillment for Noella.
Sports held a special place in Noella's heart. She was an enthusiastic fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer for her favorite teams. Her knowledge of various sports was impressive, and she delighted in discussing the game and key players with family and friends.
Noella's zest for life her warm, caring nature and quick wit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the love she shared and the memories she created with her family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists at North Bay Regional Hospital for their compassionate care and unwavering support during Noella's hospitalization and final days.
In accordance with Noella's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to spend time in nature, dig in the soil to plant something new, or cheer on their favorite sports team – all activities that brought Noella great joy throughout her life.
