NOJHL Rookie of the Month is Voodoos’ Pereira

Powassan Voodoos forward Jax Pereira is the NOJHL rookie of the month for January. 

After returning from a stint with the OHL’s North Bay Battalion, the 16-year-old from Uxbridge piled up 17 points, including four goals, in seven games for Powassan last month.

Pereira has 10 goals and 20 assists in 17 games in the NOJHL this season and is tops in the League in points-per-game at 1.76

In 21 games with the Battalion, he has three goals and three assists.

Pereira was chosen by the Troops in the fourth round, 67th overall, of the OHL Priority Selection in April 2025 from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16s.
