Nominations open for Ontario Volunteer Service Awards

Nominations open for Ontario Volunteer Service Awards

The province is accepting nominations for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.

Vic Fedeli, Nipissing MPP, says the deadline is Nov. 15.

“Volunteers are the backbone of our community, helping people in need, supporting after-school programs, mentoring youth, coaching sports, and more,” says Fedeli. “We encourage local organizations to nominate exceptional individuals for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards and recognize those who make Nipissing thrive.”

Recipients will receive a personalized certificate and lapel pin acknowledging their years of service at an award recognition ceremony held locally.

Adults are recognized by the length of time they have volunteered with an organization, ranging from five to 65 years of continuous service.

Youth volunteers are considered 24 years old or under and are recognized for two or more years of continuous service.

Nominations are being accepted online.
