North Bay Hosting Open House on Two Trout Lake Related Policies

The City of North Bay will host a Community Open House on Sept.10 to present two draft policies: one to guide rural lot creation within the City and another to guide development around Trout Lake, Four Mile Lake, and nearby streams.
Both policies are based on the Trout Lake Watershed Study and Management Plan, prepared jointly by the City of North Bay, the Municipality of East Ferris, and the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority.
The Open House will take place at The Portage (170 Peninsula Road) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include short overview presentations by City staff at 3:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. Staff will be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide opportunities for the public to review and comment on the proposed policies.
This will be the first public presentation of the draft policies. Feedback collected will help refine the policies before they are presented to City Council at a statutory public meeting later this fall.
All residents of North Bay and East Ferris are invited to attend. Comments can also be submitted online at northbay.ca/projects/trout-lake-study or by email to troutlakestudy@northbay.ca
