North Bay is announced finalist in 10 Communities in Bloom awards

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay (CGB) and the Communities in Bloom (CiB) Committee are proud to announce that the City of North Bay is one of three finalists in 10 outstanding achievement awards hosted by Communities in Bloom.

The City of North Bay was deemed a “5 Bloom City” in the 2024 National Competition and is looking to defend that title this year. The North Bay CiB Committee is made up of representatives from CGB, the municipality, businesses, and institutions. The Committee hosted a successful tour earlier this summer with Communities in Bloom judges, Tina Liu and Karen Stephenson, who reported on the high community involvement and volunteerism throughout the city.

The 2-day tour highlighted many locations around North Bay, including but not limited to the Nipissing University & Canadore College Education Centre, Laurier Woods Conservation Area, and the North Bay Museum. The tour capped off with the Centennial Celebration Festival at the North Bay Waterfront, featuring live music, non-profit booths, and hosting approximately 1000 attendees.
