North Bay Man Charged After Break and Enter on Nipissing Street
"This was a deeply unsettling incident"
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has arrested a North Bay resident after an alleged break and enter at a residence.
On May 29, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., the NBPS Patrol Section responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 400 block of Nipissing Street. It is alleged that the accused unlawfully entered the residence while two occupants, who were unknown to the accused, were inside. Officers arrived and located the accused inside the home, where he was arrested without further incident.
The accused, Thristen DEVEAU, 30-year-old, male, of, North Bay, has been charged with:
- Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence
"This was a deeply unsettling incident, and I want to commend the quick actions of everyone involved," says A/Deputy Chief Warner. "The prompt response of those who reported the incident, combined with the quick actions of responding officers, was instrumental in ensuring the safety of those inside the residence and preventing further harm."
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
