North Bay Police Arrest Man for Drug Trafficking-Weapon Offences

The North Bay Police Service arrested a 34-year-old man of drug trafficking and weapon offences.
On March 12, 2025, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested the accused in the 300-block of Lakeshore Drive in relation to two outstanding warrants. A search incident to arrest of the accused by police resulted in the location of illegal drugs and weapons.
The accused in this incident is Jonathan PEARSON, male, age 34, from Barrie, Ontario, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- One count of Carrying concealed weapon
- Five counts of Failure to comply with release order
Searches by police in this incident resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 10 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 43 grams of suspected cocaine
- Less than one gram of suspected crack cocaine
- Approximately two grams of methamphetamine
- Drug paraphernalia
- Drug trafficking equipment
- Two knives
- A box cutter
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $7,100.
The accused in this incident was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
