North Bay Police Arrest 5: Drug-Weapons
3 Females and 2 Males Arrest

3 Females and 2 Males remain in Custody

The North Bay Police Service arrested five individuals in relation to drug trafficking and firearms offences and seized over $25,000-worth of illegal drugs.

As part of an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs, at approximately 8:50 a.m. on February 27, 2025, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2000-block of Trout Lake Road, North Bay. All five accused were located within the residence and arrested.

The accused in this incident are:

Carley GERLING, female, age 39, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • One count of Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • One count of Fail to comply with probation order

Johanna NELMAPIUS, female, age 43, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • One count of Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

Dylan WRIGHT, male, age 28, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • One count of Possession of Firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Two counts of Fail to comply with probation order
  • One count of Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

Neville WRIGHT, male, age 52, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • One count of Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • One count of Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

26-year-old female from North Bay, who was arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order

Searches by police in this incident resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 95 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Approximately 1 gram of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Approximately 42 suspected hydromorphone pills
  • Approximately 4 grams of cocaine
  • Four BB handguns
  • An air rifle
  • A knife that can be opened with centrifugal force, making it a prohibited weapon
  • A .303 calibre rifle and accompanying ammunition
  • A .22 calibre rifle and accompany ammunition
  • A handgun capable of firing large ball bearings and accompanying ammunition
  • A 12-gauge shotgun that had its barrel removed
  • Approximately $1,300 in Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $25,100.

The accused in this incident were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
