North Bay Police Do Not Suspect Foul Play
The North Bay Police Service do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman on Oak Street, North Bay.
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on January 9, 2025, the North Bay Police Service received a report of an unresponsive female in the outdoor area of a property in the 300-block of Oak Street East, North Bay. Members of the North Bay Police Service, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services, and EMS attended and located a 38-year-old woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police also attended the deceased individual’s residence as part of the investigation. Police will not be releasing the location of the residence in order to protect the identity of the deceased.
At this time, police have no reason to suspect foul play and believe the incident to be non-criminal in nature. There is no reason to believe that there is a threat to the public.
This investigation is now under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario, as such, police cannot provide any additional details about the incident, including suspected cause of death, until that investigation concludes.
