Police Arrest Thief Stealing Copper Wire
A 36-year-old North Bay man was arrested on June 4th as he attempted to steal copper wire from a North Bay Business. He is now charged with three separate break and enters in which copper wire was stolen.
On June 4th at around 5 am, officers from the North Bay Police Service were conducting a property check at a local business, as the business had been the victim of recent thefts of copper wire within a secure compound. While checking the property, the officers located the accused preparing to steal copper wire.
The accused was arrested and transported to North Bay Police Service headquarters.
The accused was searched and was found to be in possession of several break-in tools and a set of brass knuckles. As he was on Probation at the time of each incident, he was also charged with four counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.
The accused remains in custody, pending a bail hearing.
The accused in this incident is;
Tyler EDMUNDS, male, 36-years, of North Bay, who is charged with;
· Two counts of Break Enter and Theft
· One count of Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Theft
· One count of Possession of Break in Instruments
· One count of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
· Four counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
· One count of Fail to Comply with a Prohibition Order
