North Bay Police Make Arrest During Break-In at 1 AM
Police Arrest 45 Year-old Male During Break-in
Just before 1am, on February 27th, 2024, officers from the North Bay Police Service were dispatched to an intrusion alarm at a residence on Douglas Street, in North Bay. When officers arrived, they located a male within the residence who was not authorized to be there and placed him under arrest. The residence had previously been boarded up to prevent entry. Upon arrest, the accused was searched by police and break-in tools were located and seized. It was also found that the accused was bound by a Probation Order at the time of arrest.
On February 27th, 2024, a 45-year-old North Bay man was arrested during a break and enter in progress at a Douglas street address.
Jonas Marcel GAGNE, 45, of North Bay, is charged with: One count of Break, enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, one count of Possession of Break-in Instruments and one count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
