North Bay Police Service Conducting Drone Training

North Bay Police Service Conducting Drone Training

The North Bay Police Service would like to inform the public of police drone training that will be taking place throughout the city on May 7th, 2024.

“Drones will play an important role in the future of policing as they start to be deployed in certain circumstances.” Said Deputy Chief Mike Daze. “Many police services through North America are implementing drones in different scenario to increase officer safety and enhance other services, such as search and rescue operations.”

The North Bay Police Service’s Drone Program has already yielded positive results, and as a result a training day has been set up with our policing partners from Peel Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police, in order to further enhance the program.

The public should be aware that throughout the day on May 7th, they may observe police drones in the air in and around North Bay, as police conduct this important training exercise.
