North Bay Police Service Emergency Response Team Training

North Bay Police Service Emergency Response Team Training

The North Bay Police Service’s (NBPS) Emergency Response Team (ERT) will be conducting training on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the area of Callander Bay Road, Connaught Avenue, Carlo Crescent, and Minto Road.

NBPS is advising the public of an increased police presence in the area as ERT members take part in training exercises. Members of the public should not be alarmed if they see officers in tactical gear or police drones operating nearby.

The training exercise will take place throughout the day on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and will not result in any road closures.

In partnership with Bay Area Search and Rescue (BAYSAR), search managers will also be conducting search and rescue training as part of the day’s activities. BAYSAR is a volunteer air and ground search‑and‑rescue organization serving the North Bay region. “Project Lifesaver” program allows caregivers to register vulnerable persons (such as individuals with dementia, autism or acquired brain injury) for wearable transmitters and routine monitoring.

The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. The ERT consists of highly trained members who regularly participate in exercises to ensure readiness for all types of high-risk incidents.
