North Bay Police Take More Drugs and Guns off Street

Drugs, Guns and Cash Seized During Search Warrant

A 29-year-old Toronto man, and a 27-year-old Brampton man, were arrested at a local Main Street West hotel on May 7th, after a lengthy investigation by the NBPS Street Crime Unit.

The accused in this matter are;

Je’Avon SKEETE, age 29, of Toronto, and

Dantai ST.LOUIS, age 27 of Brampton, who were both charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Two counts of Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and fentanyl), 
  • One count of Possession of Proceeds obtained by crime over $5000,
  • One count of Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, 
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm, 
  • One count of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, 
  • One count of Unsafe storage of a firearm, 
  • One count of Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

In the spring of 2024, members of the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit (SCU) entered into an investigation into an unknown male who was trafficking illegal drugs in the city of North Bay. Through investigation, the male was positively identified as Je’Avon SKEETE.

On May 7th, 2024, at around 4:00 pm, members of the SCU and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a local Main Street West Hotel. The two accused males were located inside the hotel room, and were taken into police custody.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:

  • 250.8 grams of Cocaine, 
  • 43.2 grams of Fentanyl
  • $8,600 in Canadian currency
  • 2 loaded 9mm Handguns

The total value of the cash and drugs seized is approximately $48,800

The two accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.
