North Bay Police take more Guns and Drugs off Street

The North Bay Police Service arrested two individuals in relation to drug trafficking and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
As part of an investigation, on March 4, 2025, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit, North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Ontario Provincial Police’s Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed a search warrant at a residence on Lakeshore Drive, North Bay. The two accused were located within the residence and arrested.
The accused in this incident are:
Jason LAPERRIERE, male, age 38, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Four counts of Breach of Firearm Prohibition Order
- One count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Samantha KING, female, age 36, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- One count of Knowledge of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- One count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Searches by police in this incident resulted in the seizure of:
- A 3D-printed handgun receiver
- Approximately 14 grams of suspected fentanyl
- A BB handgun
- A machete-style knife
- A bullet-proof vest
- Drug trafficking equipment
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $3,500.
The accused in this incident were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
