North Bay Police training in Bomarc area

If you see an added police presence in the area of Bomarc Road and Highway 11 on Thursday, don't be alarmed.  

That from the North Bay Police Service, which says its Emergency Response Team is training in that area.  Police say officers will be in tactical gear and drones operated by police will also be used in the exercise – which is taking place throughout the day.  

The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment, to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations.Officials add the team includes 12 officers who receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
