North Bay Woman Charged with Dangerous Operation of Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with Weapon

On September 28, 2025, at approximately 10:09 p.m., members of the North Bay Police Service (NBPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police – North East Region (OPP NER) responded to a collision at the intersection of Algonquin Avenue and McKeown Avenue, where a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old, female of North Bay has been charged by NBPS with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm
- Assault with a Weapon
The investigation determined that prior to the collision, a verbal altercation occurred between the victim and the accused. The accused left the area in her vehicle and was pursued by a second vehicle occupied by the victim. While stopped at the intersection, the victim exited their vehicle and approached the accused’s vehicle, at which point the accused drove forward and struck the victim.
All parties are known to each other. The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As this incident is considered a domestic occurrence, the name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused was arrested and released on an undertaking to attend court.
